Talos

Talos is a remote controlled fire-fighting-robot with the purpose of rescuing and
recovering persons in emergency. The robot supports the action forces independently in various accidents. After giving him instructions how to deal with situation he is able to work without any help.
Therefore the robot can minimise the injury risk of the action forces. The major task of the Talos lies in the  reconnaissance of the application place and to the support of the rescue team.
The  reconnaissance stands for analyzing the locations of fire and risk zones as well to locate injury or missing persons. Also the Talos can search the area of toxic, flammable or radiant substances.
The support of the rescue team stands for saving injured persons and carrying them out of the Riskzone. Moreover the robot is able to  secure the rescue team at the  penetrate into the building or other Riskzones.
The Robot can also be used as a transport platform for heavy equipment

In the rear there is a crane with a
telescope. This crane is used for all kinds of jobs. On the Top of the crane there is a tool
changing system. At the front there is a winch with that the various security work can be carried out.

On this blog we show you our past, present and future work! Our Team is made of 2 tough design students form Carinthia/Austira. We are studying now MA for Design and Space @ the Kingston University in Kingston upon Thames, Greater London!
